Zinnia Pot

Zinnia Pot

Here's my latest, straight from the easel, called Zinnia Pot. Calls back lots of memories for me, when we used to have zinnias in our garden up in Barrington, Illinois. They are one of my favorites because they come in almost every color of the rainbow. So cheerful and easy to grow! Yellow and pink are, of course, my favorites. This is an oil painting on 1.5" Gallery wrap 10"x10" canvas. Great for a bedroom, kitchen, sunroom, or any place that needs a dash of happy, mixed-bouquet, spring and summer colors! $100.00 with free shipping in the U.S.

Blue Anemone Bouquet

Blue Anemone Bouquet

SOLD

Here is a 12" x 12" oil painting on 1.5" cradled canvas panel, Blue Anemone Bouquet, that I finished last night. Sides of canvas are painted a coordinating neutral color. Blue anemones are one of the few true blue spring flowers, making them special in any bouquet. I especially like the ones that are blue in the center and end up in a frill of white petals all around. So charming in a bouquet of mixed blues and purples like this one! $145.00 with free shipping to anywhere in the U.S.

Rhodie Love

Rhodie Love

Here is an 8" x 8" oil painting I did February 11 of pink and orange rhododendrons, just like the ones I grew when I lived in Seattle. I call it "Rhodie Love." They really remind me of spring! Gallery wrap canvas, painted a complementary neutral tone on the sides. Wired and ready to hang. $50.00 with free shipping to the Continental US.

West Virginia Bouqet May 2015

West Virginia Bouquet

Here is a 20"x 20" acrylic, created with professional grade paints, on a 1.5" cradled cotton canvas panel that I did in mid-May of this year.  It is a very happy picture, with lots of bright, sunny colors and a buoyant attitude.  I painted this beautiful bouquet while visiting my sister, Pamela Gatens, in West Virginia.  She is a well-known artist up there and often exhibits her work at the Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, where she also does frequent painting demonstrations. We had a great time painting together, comparing notes, and she gave me some great ideas for more acrylic subjects this summer.  This one is available for $300.00 with free shipping.  Simply e-mail me at Phyllis.Bleau@gmail.com

My White Cattleya Orchids

White Cattleyas

This is my latest, just off the drawing board.  A painting of my white cattleya orchids that bloomed on my porch railing in front of my little travel trailer in Clearwater, Florida.  There were about a dozen of these beauties, all open at once, and as fragrant as the finest perfume!  This is a varnished watercolor, done on 22" x 30" Ampersand Aquabord, 2" cradled panel.  It is wired and ready for hanging, no frame or matting required!  It is the newest way to display watercolors, making them as durable and open to admiration as any oil or acrylic painting.  $500.00.

Gossipers

Gossipers

Here is my latest orchid watercolor, a crop of lovely laeliocattleyas. Done on 300# Arches Cold Press Watercolor paper in 15x22 format. I call them Gossipers because they remind of a group of ladies sharing the latest tidbits of news. Such pretty colors, and such fun to paint. My first use of a really dark background. I think I'll be using this style in future paintings for the drama! The original is for sale, $300.00 matted, unframed. Free Shipping in Continental U.S.

Ballerinas

SOLD

Here is a 5x7 inch watercolor on 140# watercolor paper that I did when I was at Swamp Fest the beginning of this month. It was fun to try out my travel set of watercolors by Winsor and Newton, which I hadn't had a chance to use for a while. Great to be outdoors in the Florida "winter" sunshine in the beautiful surroundings of Weeki Wachee, where the mermaids play! This painting is available for $49.00, matted and sent with free shipping. Your comments are always appreciated!
